John may be from the small town of Scottsville, Kentucky, but over the years he’s made a big mark in Music City. With 29 years in the industry, John often tells people he’s done it all. As he says, “I’ve worked with everyone, from The Rolling Stones to the University of Kentucky Wildcats!” Along the way, John has touched every part of the film and video business as a producer, director, cameraman, editor, and colorist and yes, even his 15 min. of fame on camera at Comic Relief (his Forrest Gump moment).
John’s work as a colorist has included almost every country artist that you could name as well as rock and pop legends, including the 2014 CMA and ACM Video of the Year winner, Dierks Bentley. As John says, “I love this industry, it’s never boring.”
Barry earned a degree in Radio/TV/Motion Pictures from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill but he has refined his craft on location across the country. As a videographer, Barry has worked from California and Montana to the Caribbean islands. He has been in the room for countless surgeries, held a camera off the side of a jeep in Sedona, and shot underwater footage in the Florida keys.
Barry is equally skilled in an edit bay as well as a voice-over booth. He says, “I get a lot of work done in a dark room with a computer but I am always glad to grab a camera and head out in the field.”
